Cricket Wireless offering unlimited pre-paid plan for $30/month

Cricket Wireless has just took the world of unlimited pre-paid wireless plans to a new low – and that’s a great thing for consumers. They are now offering an unlimited nationwide talk and text plan for just $30 per month, a full $10 per month cheaper than their closest competitor, a move that is sure to make the ever-expanding pre-paid wireless market expand even faster and farther.

With pre-paid unlimited plans becoming so cheap these days, it’s sure to have a downward effect on the prices of traditional contract plans before long. And anything that drives the prices of cellular plans lower is a good thing in our estimation.

One caveat with Cricket’s $30 unlimited plan: It might not be available in your area. Although they advertise that they offer service in 150 cities, we tried typing several high profile zips codes into their service area search box with no luck. But at a mere $30/month for unlimited talk and texting with no contract requirement, it’s certainly worth a try.
